The idea:

In 2021, Sweet N' Sourz was a passion project of mine to learn how to create, build, and launch a randomly generated project with a competitive team system incorporated. I created the story, designed original characters with over 350+ traits, and built the micro site & accompanying promotional materials.

The process:

In separate artboards, I created each and every trait using Adobe Illustrator on a template of the panda character. This way, I could easily export each trait as a PNG with not only a transparent background but also the correct file-naming conventions for each trait in separate folders.

The outcome:

Ultimately, I decided not to release this project. I am very grateful though because it taught me about the ins and outs of a large scale generative art project—it also taught me about the social media, marketing and developer work needed. These failures and challenges have continued to inform me as I navigate my own journey in the world of emerging tech.
